The role of women in the ICT sector: ideas, experiences and visions for the future TRA
The UAE ICT sector journey started prior to the establishment of the Union in 1971. However, the sector witnessed a strong boost in the 1970s, as a result of the special attention paid to it by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed.
At the same time, Emirati women received generous and special care from the builder of the renaissance and founder of the Union, and considered a partner in the country building process. The strong presence of women in the ICT sector is a reflection of that vision that extends until this day, embodied in the directives of our wise leadership and its tireless follow-up of women's empowerment initiatives in various sectors, including the ICT sector.
In this forum, four Emirati women from TRA present a summary of their experiences and ideas on the discussion table, in order to mark the celebration of Emirati Women's Day.
